Mine Stabilization and Development

USC Technologies has the experience and expertise to provide you a turn key stabilization solution. Most of our work is performed underground in mines, shafts, or caves, but we also perform work to stabilize surface features such as rock high walls

We can provide you full project management and coordination or individual parts and pieces. Our primary stabilization services include rock bolting, slurry fill and shotcrete depending on the goal of the project.

We pride ourselves on working safely and responding quickly to your stabilization needs. Please contact us to discuss your project and to find out more.

Rock Bolting

USC Technologies provides a variety of rock bolting services which ensure stabilization of underground space. Rock Bolting is performed to support the roof beam of the mine.

Shotcrete

USC Technologies can provide a variety of shotcrete applications for your underground mine including spraying pillars, mine portals and building shotcrete walls.

Backfilling

USC Technologies was founded to backfill and stabilize the mine in Briarcliff Development's Master Planned Community. Over the last 15 years USC has developed highly effective backfilling techniques, using fly ash from USC's Fly Ash Services to completely fill mined space.

Scaling

Scaling is the process by which loose rock is knocked off the roof and pillars to eliminate rock fall hazards and to prepare areas for bolting or shotcrete. Scaling loose rocks gives the shotcrete or rock bolt a solid foundation to make the support system more effective.
